Burger Hub
A craving-driving ordering experience built to beat delivery-app commissions.
Burger HubOverview
A fast-growing burger chain wanted a website that made visitors hungry within seconds and made ordering direct — not through a 25% commission delivery app — the easy choice.
Tech Stack
Key Features
- • Interactive menu
- • Direct online ordering
- • First-order promo engine
- • Store locator
Business Problem
The chain relied almost entirely on third-party delivery apps, losing brand control and paying steep commission on every order.
Research
Competitive audits of top QSR ordering sites revealed that food photography and a frictionless first-order promo were the two biggest conversion drivers.
Design Process
We designed around bold, appetite-driving food photography, a high-contrast black-and-gold palette, and an ordering CTA available on every screen.
Wireframes
Wireframes prioritized a single persistent 'Order Now' CTA and a scrollable, visual bestsellers grid over a traditional PDF-style menu page.
Final Design
A punchy, high-energy site with full-bleed food photography, a bestsellers rail, and a first-order discount banner pinned above the fold.
Technology Used
Next.js with ISR for menu and price updates, Framer Motion for scroll choreography, and a direct online-ordering API integration.
Challenges
Keeping the site fast despite heavy food photography required a disciplined approach to asset delivery.
Solutions
Implemented responsive image pipelines, lazy loading, and modern formats, keeping Lighthouse performance above 95 despite rich visuals.

“Customers are ordering direct now instead of the apps. It finally looks and feels as fast and fresh as the food does.”
