Overview

An independent streetwear label needed an e-commerce experience as bold and vibrant as its drops.

Tech Stack

Key Features

  • Headless commerce
  • New arrivals rail
  • Size AI assistant
  • Wishlist & drops

Business Problem

The brand's templated Shopify theme didn't reflect its bold streetwear identity and had a high cart-abandonment rate.

Research

Session recordings revealed customers wanted more product context (fit, material, styling) before committing to purchase.

Design Process

We art-directed each collection page with punchy gradients and full-bleed campaign imagery, weaving 'new arrival' storytelling directly into the shopping flow.

Wireframes

Wireframes balanced bold campaign imagery with persistent, unobtrusive add-to-cart interactions.

Final Design

A high-energy, orange-and-black interface with cinematic transitions, an AI size assistant, and drop countdowns for limited releases.

Technology Used

Headless Shopify on Next.js for full design control, with Framer Motion powering page and product transitions.

Challenges

Migrating from templated Shopify to headless without disrupting existing SEO rankings or checkout reliability.

Solutions

Executed a phased migration with 301 redirect mapping and parallel checkout testing before full cutover.
